FAQs
Fresh vs. Traditional Jerky – what’s the difference?
Fresh jerky is a thicker cut of meat that is more tender than traditional style jerky. Fresh jerky must be kept refrigerated, while traditional style jerky lasts up to 180 days at room temperature (if the bag is unopened).
What are the most popular flavors?
For jerky, our original smoked beef, honey glazed turkey, and teriyaki beef or turkey are our most popular flavors.
For hunters sausage, original and jalapeno are the most frequently purchased.
What is your spiciest jerky?
Ghost Pepper Beef is our hottest jerky. It doesn’t completely melt your face off, but it provides a powerful punch for those looking for some heat.
How long will my jerky last once I open the package?
If you have the self-restraint to save some of your jerky for later, both fresh and traditional style jerky must be placed in a sealed bag and refrigerated to maintain freshness. It should be enjoyed within 7 days of opening.
Why does my order automatically include priority 2-day shipping?
If you order any of the fresh jerky, 2-day shipping is automatically selected. This is to ensure freshness of the product as it should not be out of refrigeration for more than 3 days.
Do you ship to P.O. boxes?
We certainly do.
Do you ship to APO addresses?
Because our fresh jerky is a moist jerky with very few preservatives, we cannot guarantee that it will maintain freshness in the shipping process required to be routed to an APO address. We strive to provide the best quality products, so we do not currently ship to APO addresses.
